NASA's Dawn spacecraft is on a course to the dwarf planet Ceres, and has just taken a remarkable 27-pixel across image of this tiny world.
Ceres is the largest body in the asteroid belt that lies between Mars and Jupiter, but very little is known about it. That will soon change, as Dawn will be in orbit around Ceres by the 6th March, and will no doubt send back even more stunning images.
We know so much about the solar system and yet so little about dwarf planet Ceres. Now, Dawn is ready to change that
